Sect free Islam?

Sect free Muslim, Say no to firqa wariat, Which firqa will go to Jannah

Sect/Firqa free Islam?

Praise be to Allah, we seek His help. Whomsoever Allah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, no one can guide. The truest of word is the Book of Allah and best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those that are newly invented; every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is going astray, and every going astray is in the Fire. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah (alone with no partners) and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. To proceed
(this is how Prophet SAW used to start his speech Nisai 3278Nisai 1578)

My Lord, open up my heart [with assurance] And ease for me my task And untie the knot from my tongue That they may understand my speech.[20:25-28] Ameen

O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad (Nasai 1292)

Sects (فرقہ) or mazhab or new word which masks it but have the same effect "maslaq", f-r-q (فِرْقَ) means something which is broken from the main body, like leaves from the tree. Now, the leaves can't claim that I am a tree; they have been separated from the tree, why I said this? you will understand later on
Similarly, these days, some Muslims take pride in identifying with their specific sect, while they may look down upon those who choose not to align with any sect and simply identify as Muslims. They feel pride in calling themselves Ahlul Hadith, Deobandi (Hanafi), Brailvi (Hanafi), Shaafi, Maliki, Hanbili and Shia etc Illa MaShaaAllah. Actually, they are misguided by the hands of ulama who misinterpret one particular Hadith of Prophet S.A.W, which states that there will be 73 sects and "only one" will go to Jannah and everyone claims that we are that one. My question is, was Prophet S.A.W and his companion a sect or the main body?

There are many versions of this Hadith but I will share the one with clearer meaning.
It was narrated from ‘Awf bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:
“The Jews split into seventy-one sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy in Hell. The Christians split into seventy-two sects, seventy-one of which will be in Hell and one in Paradise. I swear by the One Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, my nation will split into seventy-three sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two in Hell.” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He said: “The main body.”

In Jami Tirmidhi 2641 (Graded Hasan by Albani) the wording are "What I am upon and my Companions" ( مَا أَنَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَصْحَابِ)

The Prophet S.A.W clearly said the main body. Secondly, some people use this hadith as a reference to justify that Prophet said that there will be sects, so it is okay to make sects and identify oneself as one🤦‍♂️. Prophet S.A.W warned his Umah that there will be sects beware of it, refrain from been a part of it. He didn't say to make or divide yourself into sects. Now for example Prophet S.A.W said that

"...women who would be dressed but appear to be naked..." Muslim 5582/2218

and based on this a woman starts wearing such clothes that Prophet prophesized it, so I will wear such clothes. He warned in both the cases.

There are those who say all are on the straight path even though there teachings are 180 degree opposite. For example, one says one should recite Ameen loudly other says that whoever do this fire coals should be put in his mouth, one says one should do Rafa Yadain other says to break the shoulder of whoever do Rafa Yadain. How are all on straight path? 🤷‍♂️

Jabir bin 'Abdullah said that:
We were with the Prophet (ﷺ), and he drew a line (in the sand), then he drew two lines to its right and two to its left. Then he put his hand on the middle line and said : 'This is the path of Allah. Then he recited the Verse: And verily, this (i.e. Allah's Commandments) is My straight path, so follow it and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you from His path..." (Ibn Majah 11 Sahih by Albaani)

“And that, ‘This is My Straight Path, so follow it; and do not follow other ways for they will sever you from His way; this is commanded to you, so that you may attain piety.’” (Surah Anam 153)

Allah says in Quran;

You (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) have no concern with those who divided their religion and became several groups; their case is only with Allah – He will then inform them of what they used to do. (Surah Anam 159)

Allah is saying to his Prophet that you have nothing to do with those who have been divided into sects, those who feel proud in being called Ahlul Hadith, Brailvi, Deobandi, Sunni, Shia, Qadri, Nakhsbandi, Salafi etc.

(Side Note: One may say why are you adding Ahlul Hadith with them, they follow Quran and Hadith, no they don't they have also become a sect and they follow their elder imams and not Quran and Hadith but they have a higher rate of accepting the truth. Although their ulamas not so much. Illa MaShaaAllah).

One may ask what should we call ourselves then,

...the religion of your father Ibrahim; Allah has named you Muslims – in the previous Books and in this Qur’an... (Surah Hajj 78)

Muslim, one should be proud to call himself a simple Muslim, no need to add any flavors. Now why do majority ulama don't teach this? that's because they are a representative of their sects. They got degrees from the madrasas of their sect, which is not recognized by any other sect and in those madrasas, they are not taught Quran or Hadith, they are taught on how to defend their own sect. If they preach that everyone is Muslim and any Muslim can pray behind any Imam then their empire which is built on the charity taken from people would fall, the lavish lifestyles which they are enjoying would all crumble. If they declare everyone as Muslims and everyone who have said Sahada will go to Jannah, then people will start giving charity to madrasas and masjid of other sects as well. Their empire is built on this one slogan that we are that sect which will go to Jannah and others will go to Jahanum. Each and every sect has the same thought.

Muslims in majority are on trial period beliefs, by trail period I mean the ones taught to them by their forefathers upon birth. After a certain age that free trial expires but they are not aware of it and they don't renew it by reading Quran and Hadith themselves. If a person is born in Deobandi, ahlul hadith, brailvi, shia, sunni family, he stays that and never rechecks or reevaluate his belief according to Quran o Hadith. Guess what, if you were born a Qadyani would you remain Qadyani or would you have tried to learn the truth?

Now one may say that what should we do then. First keep this thing clear in your mind that the standard in Deen is Quran and Sahih ul isnaad Hadith. Anyone claiming that this act will take you to Jannah or this act will give you 1000 of rewards etc ask him where is this written, don't fall for ' a pious saint said this' no matter how pious he was, he was not a Prophet. Reevaluate your aamaal, check whether what I am doing is according to Quran or Hadith? If not leave it, no matter who told you to do it, even if your parents told you to do it, leave it because it is not prescribed in Quran and Sunnah. Don't be over smart, when you do an amal thinking it is a good deed and it's not prescribed by the Prophet you are being over smart, implying that I know better Naozobillah.

O People who Believe! Do not advance ahead of Allah and His Noble Messenger, and fear Allah; indeed Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing. (Surah Hujrat 1)

Any Amal that you are doing you should know the reference of it in Quran and Hadith.

Do not follow that of which you have no knowledge. Surely the hearing, the sight, the heart - each of these shall be called to account. (Surah Isra 36)

Those who say that our forefathers used to do this, how can they be wrong.

And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has sent down”, they say, “On the contrary, we shall follow what we found our forefathers upon”; What! Even if their forefathers had no intelligence, or guidance?! (Surah Baqara 170)

And when it is said to them, “Come towards what Allah has sent down and towards the Noble Messenger”, they say, “Sufficient for us is what we found our forefathers upon”; even if their forefathers did not have knowledge nor had guidance? (Surah Maidah 104)

Respect one another, don't label anyone, who has said Sahada as Kafir. If you see someone doing things differently don't label them, rather ask them where you learned it from.

It is reported on the authority of Ibn 'Umar that the Apostle (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed:

When a man calls his brother an unbeliever, it returns (at least) to one of them. (Muslim 216/60)

It means if he was not a Kafir then it returned upon you and you became it.

Read Quran with translation, don't become dependent upon Molvis and Ulamas on day-to-day matters.

We have made the Qur'an easy to derive lessons from. Is there, then, any who will take heed? (Surah Qamar 22 17 32 40)

Allah is warning us,

Has not the time come for the believers to surrender their hearts to Allah’s remembrance and to this truth that has come down? And do not be like those who were earlier given the Book(s) and when a long term passed over them, their hearts became hardened; and many of them are sinners. (Surah Hadid 16)

They will call to them: "Were we not with you?" They will answer: "Certainly; but then you let yourselves be tempted, and waited in expectation but were suspicious and were deceived by vain desires, till the decree of God came to pass, and the deceiver duped you in respect of God. (Surah Hadid 14)

Become simple Muslims, break yourself free from the chains of sects.

Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except You, I seek You forgiveness, and I repent to You Tirmidhi 3433

O Allah! Enable us to see the Truth as Truth and give us the ability to follow it. And show us the falsehood as false and give us the ability to refrain from it. Ameen
