Death of Fatima S.A, Murder??

Murder?

Praise be to Allah, we seek His help. Whomsoever Allah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, no one can guide. The truest of word is the Book of Allah and best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those that are newly invented; every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is going astray, and every going astray is in the Fire. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah (alone with no partners) and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. To proceed
(this is how Prophet SAW used to start his speech Nisai 3278Nisai 1578)

My Lord, open up my heart [with assurance] And ease for me my task And untie the knot from my tongue That they may understand my speech.[20:25-28] Ameen

O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad (Nasai 1292)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is for knowledge's sake only, it is for all my Muslim brothers and sisters especially Ahle Tashee/Shias. If you have any friend who is a Shia, you would have seen their status related to Shahadat of Fatima سلام اللہ علیہا ورضي الله عنها and some of them curse the killer too. If you ask they won't tell you unless you are very close to them, they will tell you that Umar Farooq R.A murdered her (Naozobillah). I don't blame them as this is what have been installed into them by Shia Zakireen (molvis) since childhood and their grudge is justified based on what they have been taught as Prophet S.A.W said

... Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me."

I will try to summarize what I have learned with the texts from both Sunni and Shia books so far after listening to many scholars.

O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful. [Hujraat 49:6]

1) Narrator who narrated this whole story

Whoever narrates this story and wherever this story is mentioned it goes back to this one book by Sulaim bin Qais Hilali. He was a Tabii and is known to be a companion of Mawla Ali A.S, when Hajaj bin Yusuf started his cruelty and tyranny, he went into hiding at the house of Abaan bin Abi Ayaash, who was a Tabii as well and at the time of his death he gave his book to Abaan saying convey this to the Ummah and Abaan used to mention from that book narrations. Now no one knows whether what he used to mention was originally from the book or not because he is mentioned as a liar, both in the books of Sunni and Shia. Abaan bin Abi Ayaash is the one and only narrator of this story.

In Rijaa Al Khoi of Alaama Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei of Ahle Tashee, this book tells the authenticity of all the narrators. In it is written that Abaan was a liar

Abaan bin Abi Ayaash liar according to Shia books

Secondly in the Muqadma/Introduction of Sahih Muslim, the hadith number 79, also mentions that he was a Kadhaab (liar), he fabricated more than 900 Ahadith

Suwayd bin Sa’īd narrated to us, Alī bin Mus’hir narrated to us, he said:
‘Hamzah az-Zayyāt and I heard from Abān bin Abī Ayyāsh something like one thousand Ḥadīth’. Alī said: ‘So I met Hamzah then he informed me that he saw the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, [in a dream], and he produced for him what he heard from Abān. However he [the Prophet] didn’t recognize any except a small amount [like] five or six [Ḥadīth]’. Muslim 79

Now if someone doesn't want to follow Sunni books he can go with Shia books but according to both, he is a liar and liars can't be trusted.

2) Hadith that Umar threatened Fatima

Now some Shia says that there is a hadith found in Musanaf ibn Abi Shaybaah (Sunni Book), when Abu Bakr R.A became the Khalifa, people like Zubair R.A started going to Fatima's house to discuss matters with Ali R.A and urging him to take over. When Umar R.A came to know about this he said By Allah that we love Prophet in the whole world and after him, we love you, her daughter in the whole world but if this continue and people come to your house again related to the matter, I won't hesitate to tell people to burn down the house upon them. (Paraphrased the Hadith, Musanaf ibn Abi Shaybah 38200)

Umar threatened Fatima, Musanaf ibn abi Shaybah 38200

Now let's talk a little about this Hadith. First of all, the narrator who narrated this hadith Zaid bin Aslam, he narrated it from his father Aslam, who was a slave of Umar R.A who came into his custody when Umar was a Khalifa and the story he is narrating is of the Era of Abu Bakr R.A, which he cannot know.

Secondly, Aslam is Tabii, he didn't mention from which Sahabi did he heard it from so it is a Mursal Narration which is not acceptable as a hadith narration. So, in short there are two faults in this narration. It is a Daif Narration.

Thirdly, there is only a threat by Umar R.A, which in itself is a blunder if it was true then we stand against it, but for the sake of argument it was only a threat this narration didn't say that he killed her, but Shia extrapolates it that as he threatened her then he might have also killed her Naozobillah 🤦‍♂️.

So, it's Daif narration. those who believe it to be Sahih Narration some of Ahle Hadith do, then according to them Umar R.A committed a big crime as mentioned in Bukhari 5230 above. How would they defend the honor of Umar R.A after this if they believe it to be true.

3) Ali Lion of Allah, what did he do?

Mawla Ali R.A A.S is "Lion of Allah", he is the husband of Fatima S.A, if what Shia claims is true. Then his honor and iman requires that he would not have left anyone involved in this alive, right? but what did he do?
First let us ask ourselves what would we have done if something of such sort would have happened to our wife (May Allah Forbid) and to think this happening to his wife who is also the daughter of Prophet and regarding who he said Bukhari 5230 and this Hadith is specifically for Mawla Ali A.S read the complete version.
Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me.

Mawla Ali A.S did nothing, he was young, strong as well, so the sword which he picked in his era in Jamal Safeen and Nehrwaan when he was old, he didn't pick that up upon the murder of his wife when he was young and strong that doesn't add up. What type of courage YOUR Ali had? After her death he pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr R.A which he had not done since Abu Bakr R.A became Khalifah. So, after 6 months of his Khilafah he pledged allegiance Bukhari 4240.

Secondly, according to Shia the killer of Fatima S.A is Umar R.A, Ali became a Qazi in the Era of Umar R.A and Nahjul Balagah the Shia book, which contains the speeches, sermons and letters of Mawla Ali R.A. upon the Shahadah of Umar R.A, he gave a sermon upon his death and praised him, in which his name is not mentioned in current scriptures of Nahjul Balagh but in the original book the writer had added the asterik and at the end mentioned Umar's name. Sermon 228 in english version and 225 in Urdu version. The same sermon can be found in Bukhari as well

May Allāh reward such and such man [1] who straightened the curve, cured the disease, abandoned mischief and established the sunnah. He departed (from this world) with untarnished clothes and little shortcomings. He achieved good (of this world) and remained safe from its evils. He offered Allāh’s obedience and feared Him as He deserved. He went away and left the people in dividing ways wherein the misled cannot obtain guidance and the guided cannot attain certainty.
Sermon 228

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

While I was standing amongst the people who were invoking Allah for `Umar bin Al-Khattab who was lying (dead) on his bed, a man behind me rested his elbows on my shoulder and said, "(O `Umar!) May Allah bestow His Mercy on you. I always hoped that Allah will keep you with your two companions, for I often heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "I, Abu Bakr and `Umar were (somewhere). I, Abu Bakr and `Umar did (something). I, Abu Bakr and `Umar set out.' So I hoped that Allah will keep you with both of them." I turned back to see that the speaker was `Ali bin Abi Talib.

Bukhari 3677

There are other sermons which Ali gave when Umar asked Ali for his consultation regarding Qadsia (Battle against Persia) and Yurmuk (Battle against Romans). why would Ali give his consultation to the murderer of his wife?

Delivered when Caliph ‘Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb consulted [1] Amīr al-mu’minīn about himself, taking part in the march towards Rome (Byzantine Empire).

Allāh has taken upon himself for the followers of this religion the strengthening of boundaries and hiding of the secret places. Allāh helped them when they were few and could not protect themselves. He is living and will not die. If you will yourself proceed towards the enemy and clash with them and fall into some trouble, there will be no place of refuge for the Muslims other than their remote cities, nor any place they would return to. Therefore, you should send there an experienced man and send with hire people of good performance who are well-intentioned. If Allāh grants you victory, then this is what you want. If it is otherwise, you would serve as a support for the people and a returning place for the Muslims.
Sermon 134

And for Qadsia check Sermon 146 in urdu it's 144 or 145. He also mentioned in letter number 6 to Moawiya R.A, he said that same people have swore allegiance to me who swore to previous three it means he considered them legitimate otherwise he would not have given such example or if they were illegitimate then he would also be because same people are swearing allegiance.

To Mu‘āwiyah (ibn Abī Sufyān)

Verily, those who swore allegiance to Abū Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthmān have sworn allegiance [1] to me on the same basis on which they swore allegiance to them. (On this basis) he who was present has no choice (to consider), and he who was absent has no right to reject; and consultation is confined to the muhājirūn and the anṣār. If they agree on an individual and take him to be Caliph it will be deemed to mean Allāh’s pleasure. If any one keeps away by way of objection or innovation they will return him to the position from where he kept away. If he refuses they will fight him for following a course other than that of the believers and Allāh will put him back from where he had run away.

letter number 6

Another thing if someone kills your wife, would you give your daughter in marriage to him? Mawla Ali R.A gave Umm e kulsoom his daughter in marriage to Umar R.A which is proven by books of both Sunni and Shia. Shia's book which is equal to our Bukhari is Usool ul Kafi, in Usool ul Kafi fil Faro Pg115 Volume 6 it is mentioned that Umar married Umm e Kulsoom the daughter of Ali R.A

Narrated Tha`laba bin Abi Malik:

`Umar bin Al-Khattab distributed some garments amongst the women of Medina. One good garment remained, and one of those present with him said, "O chief of the believers! Give this garment to your wife, the (grand) daughter of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." They meant Um Kulthum, the daughter of `Ali. `Umar said, Um Salit has more right (to have it)." Um Salit was amongst those Ansari women who had given the pledge of allegiance to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ).' `Umar said, "She (i.e. Um Salit) used to carry the water skins for us on the day of Uhud."

Bukhari 2881

In Hakim 4684, the whole narration is there that Umar asked Ali for Umm e Kulsoom's hand in marriage so that he would become the Ahle Bait as well.

Upon all this Shia will say that for the better of Ummah Ali kept quiet and didn't wage war against them and didn't raise any concern about it. WOW, so if Mawla Ali A.S didn't say anything and kept quiet, you guys are more intelligent and have more honor than him that you speak against them who Mawla Ali kept quite and went along with???? Even after all this if you still say it is true then follow the Sunnah of Mawla Ali A.S he didn't say bad about the three Khulafas and kept quite.

In the end I would just say Umar R.A is innocent and free from this slander. Fatima S.A died a natural death.
Our focus should be to educate people.

"And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message." (Yaseen 36:17)

O Allah! Enable us to see the Truth as Truth and give us the ability to follow it. And show us the falsehood as false and give us the ability to refrain from it. Ameen
